I have won contracts on five continents.

Poland. Sweden. Norway. Italy. France. Greece. Chile. Australia. Saudi. Qatar. The UK. The United States. One hundred million pounds delivered and not one of those markets was handed to me. Nobody ever taught me how to run a project sale. I worked it out on live deals and it has worked in every industry I have taken it into.

The argument

Nobody said no. Nobody said yes. That is where your year went.

40 to 60%
of B2B deals are lost to indecision, not to a competitor
Harvard Business Review · 2.5 million recorded sales conversations

Half of what you lose, you do not lose to a competitor. You lose it to a room full of people who could not agree with each other, and you were never in that room.

Early in my career at Ford I had a managing director who wanted to change his entire fleet. Priced, specified, agreed. It never moved. I had been taught to sell to the man who signs the cheque, so that is exactly what I did. His service team, his finance people and his management all had their own reasons to stay where they were, and he was never going to make his own staff unhappy to please me.

Nobody beat me on that deal. I lost it on my own.

Twenty years later, on a one point nine million pound job through Tecnicas Reunidas, exactly the same thing was happening. Technical signed off, documentation agreed, terms sat there going nowhere. The difference was that by then I knew whose room the decision was actually in. So I stopped guessing at it through the contractor and went and got it from the owner.

The difference between those two deals was not effort and it was not price. It was knowing where the decision actually lives, who is arguing against you while you are sat at your desk, and what to put in your champion's hands so he wins that argument without you. Nobody teaches that. I learned it the way everyone learns it, by losing deals like the Ford one, and it took me thirty years. You do not have to take thirty years.
Range

Two weeks of formal sales training. In thirty years.

Safestyle taught me to close. Doors, commission only, no salary. Ford put me through the only structured B2B programme I have ever sat in. That is the lot. That is all of it.

Everything since I worked out myself, on live deals, and it has delivered one hundred million pounds across fifteen industries and fifty plus countries.

Most sellers who are good in one industry stay in that industry for life. It is exactly why so much sales training only works in the room it was written for. Mine has had to work in marine, rail, defence, oil and gas, construction, energy management, instrumentation, pumping systems and safety equipment. It travels because it had no choice.

That is range. And range is the whole reason this is worth your money.

What they sell you, and what actually happens

Most sales training is written by people who have never run a project sale.

They all teach the same thing. Find the buyer's one big problem and press on it. Except the buyer does not have one problem. He has several, and most of them are not even his, they belong to the business. Ask that question and it will find you out somewhere down the line, whether that is next month or next year.

What you get sold
What actually happens
Find the one pain and press on it.
Several problems at once, most of them owned by the business rather than the person sat in front of you.
Get specified or you have lost.
You do not have to be in the spec to win the work. Nobody ever tells you that, and nobody ever tells you what to do instead.
Work the contractor, they place the order.
Work both angles. On Marjan I put a call in with Aramco and took the dates from the owner. Nobody else did.
Your champion will carry it internally.
Your champion is losing an argument in a room you are not in, because you never armed him for it.
Technical sign off means you have won it.
Technical get you into the build. Quality decide whether you stay in it. Procurement decide whether you get paid.
A method built for software, resold to industry.
A method built on marine, rail, defence, oil and gas, construction, energy and instrumentation. It travels.

The method

Eight things that win deals worth winning.

Included with every place

The system that makes you do it.

Knowing it and doing it are two different things. Every member runs their pipeline on the project sales system I built for my own deals. It will not let you move a deal forward that you have not mapped.

01
The decision map is built in and it is mandatory. You cannot advance a stage without naming who decides and who objects. Almost nobody does this properly and the people running channels do it least of all.
02
Deal scoring and velocity. Where the deal actually is, not where you would like it to be.
03
Built deal first, not contact first. It tracks the decision rather than the person, which is what actually matters once more than one head is involved.
04
I see your live pipeline. When we sit down I am already inside the deals that matter. You do not spend the first twenty minutes catching me up.

The programme
$500
Per month · everything in
Founding rate for the first cohort, held against a documented before and after. Close rate, cycle length, average deal size. Agreed in session one, measured at the end.

Not ready yet? Leave your details and I will send you one thing a month that is actually useful. No newsletter, no funnel.

01
Two one hour sessions every month. One to one, on your live deals. Not case studies, not scenarios, not somebody else's business.
02
A direct channel for new deals. Something lands on your desk, you ask, you get a straight answer the same day.
03
Weekly group call. One real deal pulled apart in front of the group. Everybody contributes, everybody sees where the others are, everybody gets sharper.
04
Full access to the project sales system. Your whole pipeline, running the method.
05
Thirty years of scar tissue. Every mistake already made, so you are not making it on a deal that matters.
Straight answers

The questions everybody asks.

What actually happens in a session?

You bring a live deal. Not a hypothetical, not one that closed last year. We pull it apart, work out where the decision actually sits and who is arguing against you, and you leave with the next three things to do and who to do them to. If you have nothing live, we work on your pipeline instead and find out why it is thin.

I do not sell machines. Does this still work?

Yes. I started on the doors selling windows and kitchens, then contract hire at Ford, then energy management, then pumps, then safety equipment. Thirty day sales and three year ones. The method travels because it had to. What matters is not the length of your cycle or what is in the box, it is whether more than one person has a say in the answer. If they do, this works.

Are you going to teach me a framework?

No. I have never used one and I have not read the books. Everything I teach came out of deals I either won or lost, and most of the useful bits came from the losses. If you want a certificate and a model with an acronym, there are people who will sell you that.

What is the system, and do I have to use it?

It is the project sales system I built for running my own deals. Stakeholder mapping, deal scoring, velocity, built for deals with more than one person in them rather than for contacts. You get full access with your place. You do not have to use it, but the people who do get more out of the sessions, because I walk in already knowing where your deals are instead of spending the first twenty minutes being briefed.

Can I cancel?

Any time, and it stops at the end of the month you have paid for. No notice period, no minimum term, no exit conversation. If it is not working you should leave.

My employer might pay. Can you invoice them?

Yes. Book the call and say so and I will raise a proper invoice against a company. Most people start out paying themselves and get it picked up later once there is something to show for it.

Is what I tell you confidential?

Completely. Nothing you bring to a session leaves it, and I will sign your NDA if you want one on paper. I also will not coach two people competing for the same contract. If that comes up I will tell you and step back from one of them.

What is the weekly group call?

Once numbers allow, one call a week where we take a single real deal apart in front of the group. The person whose deal it is gets seven other sellers on it. Everybody else sees a problem they will hit within the year. Attendance is optional and nobody is made to present.
